Voice Care for Teachers in Iloilo

More than 200 teachers from Iloilo National High School gathered on February 28, 2015, to hear Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales speak, and this time, it’s all about taking care of a teacher’s most valuable asset – the VOICE.

In his Voice Care for Teachers workshop, Pocholo discussed the factors that affect the proper and efficient production of voice, such as breathing and correct posture. The teachers were asked to perform breathing and posture exercises that they can do on a daily basis to aid them in projecting their voice while teaching. He also discussed tips on how to preserve the voice and how to speak in a manner that does not strain the vocal cords.

The teachers were also given the chance to share their experiences with voice problems in their years of teaching. In the end, they were all grateful and empowered with the new information they learned about their primary tool in teaching.
