Makati City, Philippines – March 13, 2011: The Metro Comic Con 2011 (MCC) today announced Who Wants To Be A Voice Artist?, a voice acting and dubbing contest produced by leading Makati City-based recording studio CreatiVoices Productions, will return to the convention for its third year.
Who Wants To Be A Voice Artist?, hosted by CreatiVoices Productions founder and CEO Pocholo Gonzales, will put attendees through a series of contests, testing their vocal skills and range, narrowing voice actor hopefuls down until only one remains. The winner will get the chance of a lifetime to be a scholar of the best and only voice acting and dubbing school in the Philippines, the Philippine Center for Voice Acting’s “VOICEWORX – Basic Voice Acting and Dubbing Workshop with the Father of Modern Dubbing Industry Danny Mandia, The Master Dubbing Director of TeleNovelas Mr. Neil Ericson Tolentino, The Supremo of Dubbing Industry Mr. Alexx Agcaoili, Mr. LRT Voice, Brian Mathew Ligsay and the VoiceMaster Himself Mr. Pocholo Gonzales aside from that he will officially become an in-house voice artist of CreatiVoices Productions, the only voice artist agency in the Philippines and number one in google when you are looking for voice talents in the Philippines.
The Metro Comic Con 2011, an international convention on pop arts, comic books/graphic novels, animation, manga/anime, cosplay, toys and statues, movies, and TV takes place from May 7th through the 8th at the Megatrade Hall 2, SM Megamall. Who Wants To Be A Voice Artist? runs from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM on Sunday, May 8th. “We’re very pleased to be partnering for the 3rd time with CreatiVoices Productions,” MCC 2011 Producer Ernest Leo Hernandez said. “Not only are they giving comic and anime fans an amazing opportunity, but also they are the only voice-over company in the Philippines that put the Filipinos on the map by doing voice-over work for a lot of international companies such as SEGA Japan and Rosetta Stone.
CreatiVoices has produced more than 400 new voice-over artist from dubbing to radio broadcast and from hosting to animation.
