March 22, 2016, marks an important milestone for Voice of the Youth Network and DZXL 558AM – a partnership to bring the Filipino youth to AM radio. Voice of the Youth Network (VOTY) Founder Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales and DZXL Manila’s Station Manager Jenil Demorito signed a Memorandum of Agreement to formalize the partnership between the two organizations.
As part of the partnership, VOTY’s newest radio program, RADYO KABATAAN, will launch on April 2 in DZXL. The show will air every Saturday from 9 to 10am. Hosted by the energetic and dynamic broadcasters of VOTY, the show will feature various segments focused on VOTY’s thrust to inform, inspire, involve and empower the Filipino youth. Radyo Kabataan’s program lineup includes a news segment, featured student achievers, announcements of local and international youth programs, and empowering tips and tricks for the youth. Every other week, the program will also include a kids’ segment called “Radyo Bulilit,” with a radio drama focused on values formation.
Aside from the co-produced radio program, the partnership between VOTY and DZXL also includes the rollout of VOTY’s Radio Broadcasting Academy. The academy is a series of workshops on various topics that help develop the skills of young broadcasters – scriptwriting, radio programming, interviewing for media, broadcasting ethics, among many others. Through its parent company, Radyo Mindanao Network, VOTY’s Radio Broadcasting Academy will be brought to schools all over the Philippines, to give Communication students an opportunity to be exposed to real-life radio broadcasting.
The Memorandum of Agreement is effective until the end of 2016 and is the beginning of a fruitful partnership between VOTY and DZXL.
