The VoiceMaster Inspires the Scholars of Filipino Chinese Business Club in Commencement Speech

On April 23, 2016, Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales was invited as the commencement speaker for the special graduation and induction ceremony for the scholars of Filipino Chinese Business Club. Thirty graduates, together with their parents, and the members of the organization gathered at the Sky One Tower in Binondo, Manila, to celebrate this significant event.

In his talk entitled “Passion Driven Life,” the VoiceMaster shared how to find life’s meaning by doing what you love and loving what you do. He shared his own story of how at a young age, he discovered his gift of voice, has committed his life to do only things that would enable him to use his voice in order to make other people better and happy. The VoiceMaster then transitioned to talking about finding one’s purpose, and even shared the process of being able to discover your life purpose in as little as 5 minutes! This is done by answering 5 simple yet profound questions that allow a person to discover what they love to do and how other people can benefit from it.

After sharing his story, he encapsulated the life lessons he learned from his experience by sharing some of his personal quotable quotes, which he calls “Pochology 101.” His Pochology includes words of wisdom on success, passion, and commitment. He shared his favorite Pochology, “Availability is the best ability.” He reminded the audience that none of a person’s skills, talents or even values have any use if they are not present in the moment those skills, talents, and values are needed.

Towards the end of his talk, he called onstage his son, Patrick Gabriel Gonzales, the country’s youngest broadcaster and motivational speaker. Patrick captivated and mesmerized the audience as he shared his principles for success. He wowed the crowd with his mature wisdom at the young age of 10!

The Filipino Chinese Business Club is a non-profit organization that aims to contribute to the welfare of Filipinos through socio-civic advocacies such as education, disaster relief and support for Small and Medium Enterprises.
