The VoiceMaster Speaks at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business 50th Anniversary

The Ateneo Graduate School of Business celebrated its 50th Anniversary on November 23, 2017 with a grand alumni homecoming, held at the Harbor Tent of Sofitel Philippine Plaza in Pasay City. Over 200 alumni joined the evening of fun, entertainment, and nostalgia. With the theme “Giving thanks for a golden harvest,” AGSB celebrated 5 decades of milestones, successes, and achievements.

Filipino motivational speaker Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales was invited to give an inspirational intermission number. His short yet meaningful speech energized and entertained the crowd as he presented his repertoire of character voices – from cartoon characters to famous personalities and celebrities.

He also introduced the art of voice acting to the roomful of successful entrepreneurs and shared the story of how he began in the profession, which eventually led to his founding of the first and most well-known voice acting school in the Philippines. Pocholo also talked about his entrepreneurial journey through his company Creativoices Productions, including the challenges he had to overcome to take the company to where it is today.

Pocholo also highlighted how voice acting has now been recognized as a profession, after having won the “Best Book on Professions” at the 36th National Book Awards for his book “Gusto Kong Maging Voice Talent.” Such achievement was a perfect transition for Pocholo to end his speech with the message to the entrepreneurs to build their business with passion and purpose, energy and enthusiasm, resourcefulness, and availability – which is his personal definition of “PERA” (money).

The AGSB alumni were also entertained by alumni singers, dancers, and band members, as well as by former Miss Saigon, Janine Desiderio. AGSB Dean Rodolfo Ang also graced the event with his presence and opened the event with his welcome speech.
