Pochology Academy Conducts Servant Leadership Workshop for Barangay Officials of Malilipot Albay

On February 17, 2020, Pochology Academy Founder, Pocholo "The VoiceMaster" Gonzales and Pochology Academy trainer Ada Cuaresma conducted a whole-day training for the officials of Barangay Malilipot, Albay. The training was held at Country Village Hotel in Cagayan De Oro City, and revolved around the theme "Developing the Servant Leader."

Ada first came on stage to open the training with a self-discovery activity. It was then followed by a meaningful discussion about goals, habits, skills mastery and purpose. During the session, she reminded the participants to think progressively towards their personal development, and only then can they successfully lead and serve the people in their municipality.

After the morning break, the participants were then taken to a powerful motivational talk by Pocholo, where he expounded on purpose-driven leadership. Pocholo shared his own personal experience in serving the government through his advocacies, and how he has inspired the youth to become agents of positive social change.

Pocholo also told the success of the young people he had inspired to make a difference and ended up serving the government in their own municipality.

The afternoon session focused on communication, an essential skill for all leaders. Ada came back on stage to lead the group through a communication exercise, then discussed the crucial elements of masterful communication: listening, language, clarity, and respect.

Pocholo powerfully closed the training with the challenge to the participants to write and declare their 5-year vision for their municipality.

Overall, the participants were engaged, inspired and empowered to become the best servant leaders they ought to become.
