Pochology Academy Conducts Seminar on Entrepreneurship and Purposive Communication for Palawan State University's 48th Foundation Day

The week-long celebration of Palawan State University's 48th Foundation Day capped off on March 3, 2020 with a seminar on Entrepreneurship and Purposive Communication. Speakers from Pochology Academy - founder Pocholo "The VoiceMaster" Gonzales and Queen of R.E.A.L. Talk® Ada Cuaresma were invited as the speakers for the half-day seminar.

The seminar was sponsored by PSU's College of Business and Accountancy, and was attended by over 100 students from the college as well as from the College of Arts and Humanities.

The seminar opened with welcome messages from Dean Carmen Fernandez from the College of Business and Accountancy, as well as PSU President Dr. Ramon Docto, PhD. As the seminar proper began, Ada took the stage to speak about Purposive Communication. She opened with an icebreaker to liven the crowd, then went on to tell the story of how the VoiceMaster mentored her as a professional speaker.

Ada then spoke about the purpose of communication: to produce results while building relationships. She led the audience through a role play activity to transition through speaking about R.E.A.L. Talk® and how to handle those using the 4 crucial elements of communication.

The second half of the seminar was all about Entrepreneurship, and the VoiceMaster took the stage to share his entrepreneurial journey. He spoke about his company, Creativoices Productions, as well as his other business ventures. The VoiceMaster entertained the crowd with his ensemble of voice impressions from famous celebrities.

The VoiceMaster also challenged the students to purpose-driven entrepreneurship, setting himself as an example of a young person who decided to take a leap and become an entrepreneur. He closed the talk by sharing the 12 qualities of a successful entrepreneur.

The seminar proved to be the perfect way to celebrate PSU's milestone through this one-of-a-kind learning experience.
