In the said event, bloggers were gathered as the Officials of the National Youth Commission (NYC) Officials, led by Mr. Leon Flores III, discussed about the plans and the projects of the Commission. This is because NYC wants to inform the bloggers about the efforts and the advocacies of the Commission so that these bloggers can integrate them in their writing and thus help in the online promotion of the Commission through blogging. According to Chairman Flores, since a large percentage of the youth now is active online, it is a great move to try reaching to them most especially the ones from the far flung areas through the internet. “People who cannot be reached through physical contact will be reached online,” said Chairman Flores.
