“Leadership is the capacity to influence others through inspiration motivated by a passion, generated by a vision, produced by a conviction, ignited by a purpose.”
Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales has once again inspired and motivated the youth, and this time, it is about passion and integrity in leadership. On July 11, 2015, the VoiceMaster spoke to almost 300 students in the School of Education- Liberal Arts- Music- Social Work (SELAMS) “Emerging Leaders Seminar” held at the Librada Avelino Auditorium of Centro Escolar University.
The seminar aims to develop the potential leadership skills of SELAMS students and inculcate in them the importance of honesty and transparency in leadership.
Pocholo shared his journey to becoming the VoiceMaster by honing his leadership skills for the past 20 years – as a voice artist and teacher, a youth advocate, and a motivational speaker. He then went on to share his favorite definition of leadership and defined each aspect of it (purpose, conviction, vision, passion, inspiration, and influence).
One of the highlights of the talk was when the VoiceMaster called on stage his son, Patrick Gabriel Gonzales. Patrick is the youngest broadcaster and motivational speaker, having started his “career” at the age of 8. Patrick shared his own thoughts about leadership, which mesmerized the crowd. Patrick also showcased his own voice acting talent by doing the voice of Russell from Disney’s “Up”.
