The VoiceMaster Inspires Business Students in Lucena, Quezon

On February 2, a provincial seminar entitled “Leader, Organizer, Developer, and Influencer in Digital Marketing” was held at the Saint Jude Cooperative Hotel and Event Center in Lucena, Quezon. The seminar was organized by the Business Administration students of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Lopez campus.

Over 300 students from various PUP campus in the province participated in the event. The provincial seminar featured 2 of the most sought-after Filipino motivational speakers of this generation – Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales and Al Ian Barcelona.
The VoiceMaster shares the story of his voice acting career
Pocholo was the first speaker on stage who talked about “purpose-driven branding.” After energizing the crowd, Pocholo began to share his journey as a voice artist, youth advocate, and motivational speaker. He shared the story of his several achievements even when he was young, and encouraged the participants to start taking steps towards fulfilling their dreams even while they are studying.

Pocholo talked extensively about his over a 2-decade career in the voice acting industry and showed a video of a TV feature about his company, Creativoices Productions. He amazed the audience with his voice acting prowess by doing several voice impressions of cartoon characters, famous celebrities, and personalities. But more importantly, Pocholo talked about the challenges he encountered especially when he was starting out, and shared the lessons he learned along the way.

Pocholo then shifted into the topic of Personal Branding and talked about how branding is all about finding one’s purpose in life. He gave the students tips on how to discover their purpose in life, and had the students do a letter-writing exercise to envision their “future selves”.
During the open forum, Pocholo gave a couple of students the opportunity to experience living their dream, by giving them the stage to perform their talents – singing and public speaking.
