Creativoices Productions launches its first provincial chapter in the province of Mindanao through a series of voice acting workshops, headed by Creativoices CEO, Filipino motivational speaker Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales. Three legs of training were conducted from February 9 to 11 – in Cinematheque, Davao City, Radyo Natin in Mati City, and June 8 Function Hall in Bayugan, Agusan del Sur.

The workshop taught the participants various principles, tools, and techniques on voiceovers and voice acting. DJ Mon and DJ Digong conducted workshops on voiceover for movie trailers and commercials, respectively. Home Radio Davao Station Manager Randy Quilos provided insights on doing voiceovers for narration and documentaries, as well as tips on how to appreciate and take care of the voice. Ada Cuaresma, Communications Manager of Creativoices Productions, conducted a session on dubbing and translation. The highlight of the workshop is a powerful talk from the VoiceMaster, who shared the inspirational story of his 22-year career in voice acting.

Pocholo is considered a prime contributor to the growth of the voice acting industry in the Philippines as he established not only his company but also the first and most well-known voice acting school in the Philippines, the Philippine Center for Voice Acting. Since 2005, the school has produced thousands of graduates, with hundreds of them being active in dubbing, voiceovers, hosting and even public speaking. He has also trained celebrities and politicians on voice and public speaking.

Pocholo has also made a mark in the industry when he released the first-ever voice acting book in the Philippines, “Gusto Kong Maging Voice Talent,” in 2016. The book was awarded “Best Book on Professions” by the National Book Development Board and Manila Critic Circle in the 36th National Book Awards.

This year, Pocholo continues to shape voice acting in the Philippines through the Creativoices Partner studio program. Through partner studios in the provinces, more and more aspiring voice artists will be able to realize their dream of hearing their voices on commercials, dubbed films and animation, computer games and many more. These partner studios will also cater to voiceover needs for their respective dialect in the local and international scene.

Get ready – Iloilo, Dumaguete, Sorsogon, Abra, and many more – Creativoices is coming to you soon!
