The VoiceMaster Speaks at DepEd Caraga’s 23rd Anniversary

Department of Education, Caraga Region, celebrated its 23rd anniversary on July 19 at the Almont Inland Resort in Butuan City. Hundreds of DepEd teachers and employees gathered in the conference hall to celebrate the occasion, and to be inspired by their Resource Speaker, Filipino motivational speaker, Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales.

Pocholo’s presentation is an inspirational talk about Financial Wellness. But instead of speaking about money or finances, Pocholo’s talk revolved around an interesting metaphor on the subject of money. But first, he began by sharing the story of how he became the VoiceMaster of the Philippines – from his humble beginnings as a young voice artist, to opening the first and only voice acting school in the country, and becoming an award-winning author of the first and only voice acting book in the Philippines. He talked about his company, Creativoices Productions, and how his company opened the doors of the voice acting industry to thousands of aspiring Filipino voice artists.

Pocholo also amazed the audience with his repertoire of voice impressions of cartoon characters, celebrities, and famous personalities.

Pocholo’s story was the transition to his main topic, where he gave an acronym of “PERA” (money) to represent the essential, immaterial things that people should invest in. For Pocholo, money may be important to help people afford the necessities of life, but fulfillment goes beyond merely working for money. “PERA” stood for purpose, energy, relationships, and ability. Pocholo encouraged the participants to discover their purpose, invest in their energy, nurture their relationships and heighten their abilities.

In the end, Pocholo tied back the subject of financial wellness by speaking about passion and left the audience with the challenge to find and pursue what they are passionate about.
