The VoiceMaster Speaks to HR Professionals about Passion-Driven Work

On February 22, Punongbayan and Araullo held a seminar for its clients entitled “Primer on SSS, PhilHealth & HDMF, with DOLE Updates” at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Makati City. Around 50 HR professionals from P&A’s client companies attended the seminar to up their game in the Human Resources field. Filipino motivational speaker Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales was invited to give a motivational talk as part of the program.

Pocholo’s talk centered around the theme “Passion-Driven Work”. He started his presentation with a short introduction of himself and the industry of voice acting. He spoke about his company, Creativoices Productions and what made his business survive past a decade. Pocholo also wowed the audience with the “sample” of his voice acting talent, and even performed a quick radio drama for them.

Pocholo’s showcase of talent was the perfect transition for him to speak about his main topic. He shared that his passion for his craft, his vision for his industry and the desire to make things happen have been the major drivers of his success, making him the most recognized Filipino voice artist in his generation. Pocholo shared how his frustration about the monopoly in the industry is what made him build the first and only voice acting school in the Philippines, which has produced thousands of voice artists since 2005.

To inspire the audience, Pocholo shared his “8 to be Great” principles, which stands for the 8 qualities one must possess in order to achieve greatness in their work. Passion, purpose, vision, and sharing are just some of those. He powerfully ended his speech with his Pochology “Do something today that your future self will thank you for” to empower the HR professionals to become the role models about being passionate about their work.
