The VoiceMaster Inspires PUP Lopez Students on Entrepreneurship

On February 23, the Senior Marketing Management students of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Lopez, Quezon organized an event entitled “Millennial Entrepreneurship in the Modern World.” Over 200 students attended the seminar held at the Southern Quezon Convention Center in Gumaca, Quezon. The students were inspired to shift to an entrepreneurial mindset through an inspirational talk by Filipino motivational speaker Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales.

As a youth entrepreneurship advocate, Pocholo shared valuable insights on the importance of having an entrepreneurial mindset even at an early age. He began his talk by sharing about his journey in the voice acting industry, and how he found his own company, Creativoices Productions. Pocholo also spoke about the state of the voice acting industry, and how he disrupted what was once a closed-door and highly monopolized industry by opening the first and only voice acting school in the country.

Pocholo’s entrepreneurial journey was inspirational on its own, but Pocholo took it a step further and shared his insights about imbibing Filipino ideals through National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal. Pocholo showed the audience how he takes photos with Rizal’s monuments wherever he goes, and explains the reason behind it. Pocholo challenged the participants to study and model Rizal, whom he considers to be the epitome of Filipino greatness and excellence.

Pocholo also talked about the concept of Personal Branding, and linked it to not only having a “brand” but more importantly having a “purpose” in life. For Pocholo knowing one’s reason for existence is the true north – the vision that will guide a person to what will bring him/her the most pleasure in living.

In the end, Pocholo left the audience with his Pochology “Availability is the best ability,” and challenged the participants to sieze opportunities for them to become young entrepreneurs.
