Crafting Chapters of Leadership: The VoiceMaster’s Journey from Imagination to Inspiration
When the First Pacific Leadership Academy brought together icons in science, music, medicine, and communication, it wasn’t just an event—it was a celebration of diverse gifts with one unifying theme: thought leadership.
And in that moment, I stood not just as The VoiceMaster, but as someone who once dreamed of becoming a factory worker—now creating a factory of dreamers and doers.
“Leadership begins when you use your voice not to impress, but to influence.”
I shared my beginnings in Mariveles, Bataan—where there was no television, only the radio. That’s where I discovered the magic of sound. No visuals. No stage. Just imagination and storytelling.
“I wasn’t trying to become someone famous. I was trying to become someone with a purpose.”
That’s the seed of VoiceMastery—not just creating characters, but character transformation.
From Radio Dramas to Revolution: The Rise of Creative Voices
I talked about how voice acting wasn’t my end goal—it was my entry point. It led to founding Creative Voices Productions, Voice of the Youth Network, and the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP).
At age 23, I had already created a company that changed how the world saw Filipino talent. I didn’t wait for permission—I created platforms. I trained voices. I empowered leaders.
“You don’t need to wait to graduate to make a difference. If you can speak, you can lead.”
Excellence is Not Awards—It’s Impact
In the panel, I was asked, “What is excellence for you?” And my answer was clear:
“Excellence is not about recognition. It’s about making others better because of your existence.”
I told them how I represented Filipino voices abroad—from SEGA in Japan to international animation and gaming industries—not for fame, but to prove one thing: Filipinos have world-class voices and world-class hearts.
Education, Not Just Execution
Yes, I was blessed with talent. But I also studied. I took speech communication at UP Diliman, then earned a master’s in broadcasting. Because real leaders don’t stop learning—they sharpen their voice and their values every step of the way.
“Talent gets you in the door. But it’s your values that keep you there.”
The Voice You Train Today Will Shape the Nation Tomorrow
Leadership isn’t just about eloquence—it’s about empathy. It’s not about managing people—it’s about mentoring possibilities.
And in front of CEOs, students, doctors, scientists, and artists—I left them with this:
“Do something today that your future self—and your future followers—will thank you for.”
Because every chapter you write as a leader becomes the blueprint for the next generation.
