Life Unplugged: Finding Voice, Faith, and Purpose in Conversation with Ardy Roberto
In a rare, unscripted, and Spirit-led moment, I sat down with author and faith mentor Ardy Roberto to talk not just about voice acting, but about the voice of God, the voice within us, and the voice we offer to the world.
This wasn’t a guesting. This was a reckoning.
And it began with prayer.
“Our voice is a gift from God. And how we use it is our gift back to Him.”
In this episode of Life Unplugged, I shared the journey of a young boy from Bataan who grew up with no TV—only radio dramas and imagination. A boy who didn’t just listen to stories—he lived them, mimicked them, and slowly began to become them.
“Hindi ko alam noon na voice acting na pala ‘yon. Ang alam ko lang, ginagaya ko lang si Lolo Tasho sa Gabi ng Lagim.”
And from that simple habit of mimicry, a movement was born.
Faith Over Fame: From the Mic to the Mission
I shared how voice acting became more than a career. It became a calling.
“Ang gusto ko lang noon, marinig ang boses ko sa radyo… para mabati ko lang ang nanay ko.”
But the dream grew bigger. I became a voice for thousands of characters, built CreatiVoices, founded the Certified Voice Artist Program, and revolutionized an industry previously closed off to dreamers like me.
And in the center of it all: faith. Not religion. Not performance. But pure, unshakable belief that if God gave me this voice, He also gave me a mission.
Voice Acting is Ministry
“Without the human voice, we will never hear the Word of God.”
I spoke about how I teach priests, pastors, and public speakers to use voice acting not for drama, but for deeper engagement.
Because sermons don’t fail for lack of Scripture—they fail for lack of delivery.
“People may hear you with their ears, but they only listen with their hearts.”
That’s why voice care, vocal mastery, and spiritual alignment go hand in hand. A real communicator speaks with intention. With empathy. With enthusiasm—“enteo,” God within.
Overcoming Trials and Sharing the Mic
I shared how COVID nearly broke me—physically, financially, mentally. But through it all, God whispered one thing: “Keep speaking. Someone out there needs your voice.”
And so, CVAP was born. During a time when people were breaking down, I used my voice to build others up. I taught hundreds—many of whom were battling depression, job loss, or isolation—to rediscover their worth, their gift, and their identity.
The Real Secret to Success
“You don’t become great because of who helped you. You become great because of who you helped despite who hurt you.”
I didn’t create competitors—I created collaborators. And those who once rejected me? I now help them rise. Because the real revolution is kindness.
Don’t Just Find Your Voice. Speak It with Purpose.
To everyone struggling to believe they’re meant for more, let this be your sign:
“The greatest voice you’ll ever discover is the one you’ve been hiding inside.”
You don’t need to sound like me. You don’t need to follow my path. But you do need to speak. Loud or soft, funny or firm, on stage or online—speak. Because someone out there needs to hear what only you can say.
