On March 18, 2023, JCI Makati recognized the dedication and contributions of Pocholo De Leon Gonzales and Lance Tan by conferring them with the prestigious JCI Senatorship during its 59th Induction and Turn-Over Ceremony. The event occurred at the Takara Hotel, where the 2023 JCI Makati President, Ken Okuya, was inducted.


Pocholo Gonzales and Lance Tan, Filipino motivational speakers, authors, entrepreneurs, and youth advocates, have significantly contributed to JCI Makati since their respective tenures as presidents. The JCI Senatorship is a lifetime honor granted to a select few who have shown exceptional dedication and service to the organization and its mission.


The ceremony was graced by the presence of 1997 JCI World President, Mr. Crispin Dy, Past President Danny Hernandez, Joey Garcia, and Kurt Soliman, all past JCI Makati presidents. Their attendance added weight to the occasion, emphasizing the significance of the event and the importance of the conferment to Pocholo Gonzales and Lance Tan.

Gonzales, Tan, Joey Garcia, and Kurt Soliman are collectively known as the “Big 4” of JCI Makati, who served as presidents from 2018 to 2021. Their leadership marked the beginning of the JCI Makati Vision 2020, a transformative period for the organization.


During their terms as JCI Makati Presidents, Gonzales, Tan, Garcia, and Soliman focused on learning and development, leveraging their training and motivational speaking strengths. They furthered their advocacy for youth entrepreneurship by initiating programs designed to empower and enable young Filipinos to start their own businesses. JCI Makati also celebrated its winners in the recently concluded 2021 JCI Philippines Temiong Awards, acknowledging its members' hard work and dedication.
