The VoiceMaster Returns to the Stage after 3 Years: Empowering the Youth of Quezon Province with Personal Branding




A seminar-workshop named "Personal Branding: Explore and Cultivate your Unique Value" was held at SM City Lucena on April 1, 2023, by Polytechnic University of the Philippines Lopez, Quezon Branch's Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management IV. (Cinema 3). The event aimed to inform, encourage, and inspire students to discover and develop their unique personalities and abilities for creating a powerful personal brand. The students were left feeling inspired and driven to develop their own personal brands by the keynote speaker, Mr. Pocholo D. Gonzales, also known as The VoiceMaster of the Philippines.





Mr. Gonzales underlined the significance of finding one's life purpose and the power of using one's voice to effect change. He emphasized that a clear grasp of one's life purpose is necessary for building a powerful personal brand. One can match their personal brand with their values, beliefs, and passions by being aware of their purpose, which can ultimately result in a fulfilling professional and personal life.



During his two-hour discussion, Mr. Gonzales gave insights on personal branding, its benefits, and the various strategies to build a powerful personal brand. Additionally, he went over the many social media sites that may be utilized to develop a personal brand, which was very helpful for the participants who are familiar with the online environment.


The apprentices of Mr. Gonzales, Jayjay Delos Santos and Diane Sarmiento, also spoke about their accomplishments under The VoiceMaster mentoring, encouraging the students to take their personal branding journey seriously.


Personal Branding and Freelancing and Social Selling were the two subjects covered in the seminar-workshop. The definition of personal branding, benefits of personal branding, strategies for developing a strong personal brand, and various social media platforms that may be utilized to develop a personal brand were all covered in the training. Additionally, they could comprehend the advantages and chances provided by social selling and freelancing and how to advertise themselves to potential customers and identify the particular abilities required in these industries.



Maximum 400 registered attendees from various schools and organizations attended the event. A lanyard, seminar package, refreshments, and a certificate were included in the P500 registration price for the event. Participants could additionally pay P600.00, which included with a T-shirt.


In order to advertise the event, the organizers set up a Facebook page where they shared news, updates, videos, photos, and posters. Additionally, flyers were distributed to potential participants, and a Tarpaulin was hung on the Junior Marketing Executives bulletin board for kids who were passing by.

The lecture and workshop ended with a round of questions and answers and an event assessment. The participants could produce their own personal portfolios, including their contact details, resumes, credentials, and more.


Overall, the students gave Mr. Gonzales' presentation very positive reviews and expressed their thanks for the chance to learn from a professional in the field of personal branding. The event inspired the students to declare their desire to use the personal branding strategies they had learned in their future employment. They were inspired to examine and develop their personalities and abilities to develop a strong personal brand that will make them stand out from the competition and provide them a competitive edge in their chosen careers.
